Makarska concathedral (choral church) St. Mark the Evangelist,the Church of Split-Makarska Archdiocese. Located on top of Kacic square. It was built in the Baroque style. The construction of the Co-Cathedral, the former Cathedral of Makarska Bishop began 1700th year at the initiative of the Makarska Bishop Nicholas Bijankovića, but unfortunately never fully completed. In 1756th consecrated by the Bishop of Makarska Stephen Blašković.

The façade of the church faces the southwest, and the bell tower can be seen from almost all over the city. At the entrance to the cathedral of the right hand of the altar , where are kept the bones of St. Clement, the patron of the town of Makarska and the Makarska diocese. The bones of the saint were brought from the Roman catacombs 1725th year. On the left there is the altar of Our Lady , and over it a little altar of Our Lady of the Rosary and Our Lady of the Rosary. The wood painted the Virgin and Child labor is a Byzantine school. This small altar, according to the locals, was built during the plague 1815th year. The second altar on the left is the altar of St. Cross. He represents the Calvary, and statues in wood natural size.
